Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a multifaceted personality who has achieved remarkable success as a professional wrestler, actor, and producer. Known for his charismatic persona, exceptional physicality, and unwavering work ethic, Johnson has become one of the most recognizable and influential figures in the entertainment industry.


Born in California to a Black Canadian father and Samoan mother, he grew up surrounded by professional wrestlers.  His father was Rocky Johnson, who was one of the first black tag team champion with Tony Atlas, of World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) and his grandfather was Peter Maivia, a famed Samoan professional wrestler.  


Before his foray into acting, Johnson gained fame as a professional wrestler in the WWF. With his imposing physique, electrifying personality, and catchphrase "Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?", he became a fan favorite and helped usher in the "Attitude Era" of professional wrestling. His ability to entertain and connect with audiences made him one of the biggest stars in the sport.


Transitioning to the world of acting, Johnson proved his versatility by taking on a wide range of roles in both action-packed blockbusters and heartfelt comedies. Films like "The Scorpion King" (2002), "Fast & Furious" franchise, and "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" (2017) demonstrated his ability to captivate audiences with his on-screen presence and charm. He has established his own production company, Seven Bucks Productions, and has been involved in producing numerous successful projects, including the popular HBO series "Ballers" and the biographical comedy-drama "Fighting with My Family" (2019).
